Dear ICAR Members, Associate Members and cooperators,
In response to the current spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) globally, the ICAR staff and board are monitoring the situation and provide the following message during this time of uncertainty:
“The health and safety of the people and the organizations involved with the ICAR mission along with the herds and flocks operating around the world are the highest priority of the ICAR community. The World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines along with region, country and local public health guidelines should be the guiding principles in the short and mid-term for the efforts and operations of ICAR.”
“The fluid and short-term updates occurring relating to COVID-19 are being monitored and evaluated by the ICAR staff and board over the past days and will continue in the days forward. In light of this situation, the ICAR Board, Local Organising Committee for ICAR-Interbull 2020 will be reviewing upcoming ICAR meetings including ICAR-Interbull 2020 meeting in June to make sure the health and safety is a high priority of individuals attending meetings.”
“As part of this evaluation in the next 10 days, the ICAR-Interbull Local Organizing Committee, Interbull Centre, ICAR Staff and ICAR Board will be reviewing and making a decision relating to the upcoming ICAR-Interbull 2020 meeting scheduled during June in the Netherlands. This decision will be circulated to the ICAR and broader community as soon as the decision is made, allowing plans to be made regarding the meetings scheduled for June 2020.”
“We appreciate the understanding and support that has been offered in dealing with the COVID-19 effects in everyone’s plans and lives.”
Best Regards
Jay Mattison, ICAR President
