Transceivers conforming to ISO11784/11785 (Synchronising transceivers)
Transceivers in this list are in compliance with the operating characteristics as laid down in the ISO standards 11784 and 11785. Such transceivers are synchronising with transceivers present, which means they can be used near other readers.

Non-synchronising transceivers capable of reading transponders conforming to ISO 11784/11785
The ICAR Sub-Committee on Animal Identification has defined a procedure for testing cost effective non-synchronising transceivers that are capable of reading ISO 11784/11785 transponders but have no synchronisation capability. Furthermore, the activation field frequency accuracy is more relaxed. Test procedures have to be carried out following the directives as defined by ICAR and recognized by ISO/WG3.
Important note
As there may be electronic interference between transceivers, this type of transceiver shall not be operated within a distance of 10 m from any ISO transceiver. The non-synchronizing transceiver shall be marked as such by a label, clearly designating the transceiver as a non-synchronizing transceiver and shall carry the warning mentioned above.
The manufacturer shall put a label on every transceiver to clearly indicate that the device is a non-synchronising type and should only be used in stand alone situations. Furthermore, the manufacturer is bound to clearly indicate in datasheets, leaflets and in advertising that the reader is a non-synchronising type and should only be used in stand alone situations.
